Billy Joel Revisits 1987 Russian Tour On New CD/DVD: Sneak Peek

Billy Joel fans will have the chance to visit the historic 1987 Russian tour singer on May 20 with the launch of a trust issue : The Bridge to Russia, which will be available as a set of two CD package DVD / Blu -ray player or a deluxe edition that combines the two .

Joel toured Russia near the end of the Cold War in his trip around the world in support of The Bridge. The 1987 live album Kohuept featured 16 recordings of the tour, but a matter of trust : The Bridge to Russia: Music has remastered sound and 12 unreleased tracks , including a test of the Beatles "She Loves You" .

Last month, Showtime debuted Billy Joel : A Matter of Trust - The bridge to Russia, a new documentary by filmmaker Jim Brown narrates the entire tour. The deluxe edition contains a trust issue that documentary , along with a book of rare photos and new notes. Check out a trailer for the movie here.


Billy Joel is in the middle of his first solo tour in five years. He is also playing Madison Square Garden once a month for the indefinite future. He has not released a new album in 21 years, but he is reliving very deep cuts like " Blonde Over Blue " and " Where's the Orchestra ? " During these shows. He was awarded the Kennedy Center Honors in December.
